Inspired by the post at Diary of a Debtor, I decided to do the math and figure out what our percentage of “debt-loss” is since 2.26.09.
Ready?
17.12%
In 5.5 months!!! That sure makes it feel a lot bigger than just looking at the numbers.
I think my husband and I should have a little dinner party when we get to 25%…maybe a potluck [wink].

Hi,
I’ve been reading your blog and can fully empathise with your position – we’re there too! It’s great to read about someone else going through such a similar experience (although obviously I’m sorry you’re stuck in it too) and I look forward to exchanging ideas on how to get ourselves out of debt even quicker
It sounds like you’ve had a really tough last couple of years, so full credit to you both for facing up to your debt and taking action. I think you’re doing brilliantly, putting such a large dent in your debt already.
Keep it up!
Sam

Thanks so much, Sam!
It does feel good to make progress, and I’m thankful that there are others out there who are sharing their journey, too. I think it helps us all to stay on track and realize that we *can* get out of debt, because others are putting their head down and doing it, too.
Best of luck to you – I look forward to collaborating!
Blessings,
Renae
